On Wednesday, May 12, the FCC opened its Emergency Broadband Benefit to households nationwide. It is a program to assist families and households with affording Internet services during the COVID-19 pandemic. Local 7076 is sharing this information to help spread the word to as many qualifying New Mexicans as possible. Please pass along this information to friends, family, and neighbors.

Eligible households will receive a discount of up to $50 per month for broadband service from participating providers and up to $75 per month for homes on qualifying Tribal land. The FCC program also provides a discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet.
